BOOST YOUR PRODUCTIVITY WITH VERTICAL TABS IN MICROSOFT EDGET

Tired of tab overload in your browser? Microsoft Edge’s Vertical Tabs feature is a powerful, underused tool that can simplify your browsing experience and help you stay focused. By displaying your tabs in a vertical list on the side, you gain more screen space and a clearer overview of your open pages—especially helpful if you juggle multiple tabs during work or research.

Why Use Vertical Tabs?

  • Improved organization: See more tab titles without shrinking them.
  • Better multitasking: Quickly scan and switch between tabs.
  • More screen space: Hide the vertical pane when you need a wider view.

How to Set Up Vertical Tabs in Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.
  2. Look at the top-left corner of your tab bar.
  3. Click the “Turn on vertical tabs” icon (it looks like a square with a vertical line).
  4. Your tabs will now shift to a sidebar on the left.
  5. (Optional) Click the collapse arrow at the top of the tab panel to save even more space.
  6. To go back, click the same icon again to turn off vertical tabs.
