FIND MY DEVICE ON WINDOWS 11

Windows 11 gives you the power to enable the “Find my Device” for those of you that are constantly on the go with your Laptop or Windows Tablets. Enabling the “Find my device” feature on your PC can come in handy if you ever find yourself in a situation where your device might be lost or stolen. When you turn on “find my device,” Windows 11 will periodically send the device’s (approximate) physical location to Microsoft. If you need to use this feature at any point in time, you can easily log in to your Microsoft account online and find out the last known location your device recorded.

Enabling “Find my device”

Here are the simple steps on how to enable this feature on Windows 11.

Step 1: Open Settings.

Step 2: Click on Privacy & Security.

Step 3: Under the “Security” section, click the Find my device page.

Step 4: Turn on the Find My device toggle switch.

Locating a Device

If you want to locate your device here are the steps on how to see your Windows 11 devices that have this feature turned on.

Step 1: Open Settings.

Step 2: Click on Privacy & Security.

Step 3: Under the “Security” section, click the Find my device page.

Step 4: Click the See all your devices linked to your account option.

Step 5: Sign in with your Microsoft account.

Step 6: Under the “Devices” section, click the Find my device option under the computer you want to find.

Step 7: Confirm the last known location.

Step 8: Click the Find button to retrieve the current location. Please keep in mind that this feature will only work if the computer is connected to the network.
