Whiteboard is automatically enabled for applicable Office 365 tenants. Windows 10 and iOS users in your tenant can download the app. Here are the steps that you need to follow as well as some valuable information IT Admins may want to know.
Enabling Whiteboard:
- Go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
- On the Admin Center home page, go to Settings, and then choose Services & add-ins.
- On the Service & add-ins page, scroll down, and then choose Whiteboard.
- On the Whiteboard panel, toggle Turn Whiteboard on or off for your entire organization to On.
- Click Save.
How can Whiteboard Web App (Preview) be enabled or disabled?
To enable or disable the Whiteboard Web App (Preview), do the following:
- Go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
- On the Admin Center home page, go to Settings, and then choose Services & add-ins.
- On the Service & add-ins page, scroll down, and then choose Whiteboard.
- On the Whiteboard panel, toggle Turn Whiteboard preview on or off for your entire organization to On.
- Click Save.
Where is Whiteboard data stored?
Whiteboard data is stored in Microsoft Azure within datacenters located in the United States. We are working to support additional datacenters worldwide.
What compliance standards does Whiteboard meet?
The Whiteboard apps for Windows 10 and iOS meet Tier C, which means that they conform to global standards including SOC 1, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and EU Model Clauses. When the Whiteboard Web App (currently in Preview) is made generally available, it will meet the same level of compliance standards.
