Meeting recordings have recently moved to OneDrive and SharePoint. They will no longer be stored in Microsoft Stream. Your meeting recordings can be stored in one of two places.
- The business OneDrive account of the person who started the recording (i.e., OneDrive – Microsoft)
- The SharePoint site associated with the team for channel meetings
You can still access the recording from the meeting chat, and recordings are available sooner after your meetings. The sharing experience is consistent with what you’re used to across all Microsoft 365 applications. Plus, you have the option to share recordings with external attendees.
Where are my meeting recordings stored and where do I find them?
The easiest way to find and view recordings is from the meeting chat. Private meeting recordings are stored in a folder called Recordings in the OneDrive of the person who started recording. For channel meetings, the recording is stored in a folder called Recordings > Read only in the channels Files tab.
Will my recording have closed captions?
Yes. Transcription is captured automatically with the recording, allowing for closed captions. When viewing your recording video, select the CC option from the video controls to turn on closed captions.
